Kickoff Event: Soundtrack of America
As part of our Made By Us Civic Season grant, Aquí Sí Se Puede hosted Soundtrack of America, a youth-led community event exploring identity and civic belonging through music and storytelling.Participants shared the songs that shaped their lives, creating space for connection, reflection, and cultural dialogue.This program was made possible with support from Made By Us.

Aquí Sí Se Puede is a cross-border civic platform that connects Latino diaspora youth to civic engagement, education, and workforce pathways through community-centered programming.We build experiences that help young people strengthen identity, access opportunity, and engage meaningfully in their communities across the United States and Latin America, beginning with the Dominican Republic.
Why It Matters
Migration shapes identity, opportunity, and access.
Many Latino youth grow up navigating two systems, one in their country of origin and one in the United States, without structured support connecting both.Aquí Sí Se Puede was built to bridge that gap.We create programs that strengthen belonging while expanding access to opportunity across borders, ensuring young people are not forced to choose between identity and advancement.Our goal is not only to support youth, but to build systems that connect communities across borders.
